Brownies enjoy making bracelets at their Adventure Day.

Nearly 100 excited Brownies from all over Berwickshire attended the Brownie Adventure Day recently.

They included the newly formed 1st Dunglass Brownie unit attending their first ever County event.

The theme was ‘Brownie Traditions’ and the girls had great fun colouring in pictures of owls and a portrait of founder Robert Baden Powell. They enjoyed a range of crafts including making card owls, a trefoil and a lettered-bead bracelet spelling out ‘Brownie’. The traditional Beetle Drive was adapted and became a World Flag and Trefoil beetle which the girls loved!

To end the day the Silver Owl Trophy was presented to 2nd Lauder Brownies who won the World Guiding quiz though it was so close there had to be a tie break. Well done to the organising team who planned such a great event. If you’d like to join in with lots more Brownie fun and games and to help in a unit please get in touch with County Commissioner, Eileen McLean 01361 882744.
