Scocha to entertain with Duns concert

IN response to sellout demand last year, the Rotary Club of Duns is organising another great evening with top Borders band Scocha in the Volunteer Hall, Duns, on Saturday, February 16.

Anyone who’s heard Scocha before will know what a fantastic way they have with Scottish music. It’s guaranteed that you won’t be able to sit still, whether they’re belting out a footstomper like ‘McPherson’s Rant’ or delivering a lilting Scottish balad like ‘The Queen’s Maries’.

As they say on their own website (www.scocha.co.uk) they play “new Scottish music and songs combined with original arrangements of Scottish classics, peppered with banter, fun, and the feel good factor.”

This year founding members Ian Scott and David Chapman (hence SCOCHA) have a new line-up. Dougie Anderson is now up front playing lead guitar while new member Ross Walsh joins the band on drums and percussion, with Phil the stalwart on bass.

Don’t miss this chance to see and hear Scocha in Duns on February 16. There are still a few tickets available from the Post Office, Market Square, Duns, price £13.
