THE start of the gull cull at Eyemouth is imminent as the birds have started nesting early because of the mild weather.

HUNDREDS of sheep and lambs were rescued from a fire in a large shed at a farm near Grantshouse. The fire broke out in a large double hayshed at Drakemyre Farm at around 9pm and fire engines from Duns, Eyemouth, East Linton and Berwick attended the blaze.
