Have your say

A local dignitary got so annoyed with litter in the country lanes around his home that he took matters into his own hands back in March 2005.

Baron of Mordington, Graham Milne, said that he just could not put up with the state of the local countryside any longer.

“I am probably the first baron ever to have picked up rubbish on a country road,” he said. Perhaps Berwick Borough Council will appoint me an official Honorary Rubbish Cleaner for the Norham area. That would allow me to add a truly distinguished entry in Burke’s Peerage.”
