BARK takes in 19 cats from one household

Next Saturday, May 30, we are having a massive plant sale and kennel open day, starting at 10.30am and finishing at 1pm.

There is a huge array of plants, grown by just a few volunteers, including Aquilega, Echinacea, Geraniums and Rudbeckia to name but a few as well as a selection of ready-to-plant vegetables.

So please do join us to have a look around our kennels and pick yourself up something to brighten your garden.

Karen, who has grown most of the plants, will be able to answer any of your questions on the best way to nurture you plant purchases.

Our shop will have a section of items, with a vague (very vague) plant theme and there will be coffee, tea and cakes on sale.

The last week has been very busy in our cattery where we have been joined by 27 cats and kittens, 19 from the same household.

We have made sure that all the remaining cats in that particular household will be neutered so the numbers should not increase any further.

The range of colours is wide with adult cats ranging from six months to nine years and all have great natures although varying degrees of confidence.

We also have five kittens ready to be reserved. All are black or black and white and very cute. They can go as pairs or individualy.

Our dog runs, in comparison to our cats, are fairly quiet.

We’ve been joined by two lab types aged nine and 10. These two have always been together and the last six months have relied heavily on each other.

Thrum is over 20 kilos overweight and this affects his movement and exercise. Shadow although overweight is not so badly affected.

It would only be right that these two go to a home together, so we are on the lookout for a very special home.
