Great support

SIR, - On behalf of the Longformacus Village Improvements Committee can we take the opportunity in your pages to thank the generous local sponsors who supported our recent race night.

The generosity of Longformacus Estate, Pearson’s of Duns, Fish n Fine Food of Duns, the Co-operative, John Thorburn and Sons, J. Aitchison, Renton Swan Vets, Broughton Ales and others was very much appreciated and contributed greatly to a highly-enjoyable evening, helping raise funds towards the ongoing restoration of Longformacus Village Hall. In challenging times for small businesses such support is doubly appreciated.

Our thanks too to all who all gave up their time to help in so many different ways, to those who gave generously on the night and, of course, our “Clerk of the Course” Bob.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to our next fundraiser – a sold-out table top sale and coffee morning in Longformacus Village Hall on Saturday, May 12, from 11-1pm

MARK ROWLEY,

Chairman, Longformacus Village Improvement Committee.
