Amnesty International asks for card to be signed in Berwick and Eyemouth

THE Berwick and Eastern Borders Amnesty International Group is asking local residents to help bring comfort to those suffering human rights abuses.

As part of the Write to Rights campaign, from 10am to noon the group will be at Berwick Library on Saturday and at Eyemouth Library on Monday December 10 and Thursday (December 13 where it will be encouraging visitors to sign a card show solidarity with those who are suffering.

A spokesperson said: “A simple card brings hope and comfort to those suffering human rights abuses.”

“We would like you to send a personal message to one or more of the individuals and communities that feature in this year’s Write for Rights campaign.”
