SIR, - The Committee and members of the Whiteadder Burns Club would like to thank everyone involved with making our Diamond Jubilee Celebration Supper an outstanding event.
Special thanks to our guests Major A.R. Trotter, Lord Lieutenant of Berwickshire, who gave the Loyal Toast and Jim Shiels, National President of The Robert Burns World Federation who performed the “Immortal Memory”.
Thanks to the kind generosity of Ahlstrom (Chirnside) Ltd everyone attending the supper received a special momento of the occasion, a magnificent engraved glass depicting the event.
On a final note the Whiteadder Burns Club would like to place on record their appreciation of all the excellent work carried out by Robert and his staff at the Robin’s Nest Hotel, Chirnside.
